Forest Essentials first foray was to manufacture hand made soaps, made from oils, which were processed using the cold pressed method, which left the rich nutrients in the oil intact. This age old process was virtually not being used in the present day, so “kolhu’s or old fashioned grinders had to be procured where oil is extracted by hand. To this were added steam distilled pure essential oils for fragrance, herbal infusions, and organic whole fruits and vegetables. These soaps were made by hand, using traditional Indian recipes. These sold faster than they could be produced, showing there was an integral need fine quality handmade products. This actually was the start of Forest Essentials.
